Roosevelt Island

Roosevelt Island, snug between Manhattan and Queens, is a must if you’re visiting NYC. Take the tramway. Don’t forget to take a walk up North to the Lighthouse, past the Octagon and the Southern tip of the Island, past the Small Pox hospital. Driving along FDR you must have noticed the abandoned small pox hospital building lit up. It’s another thing to be in front of it. Guess who visited and lived on this Island. I’m not done. I’ll be going back for more.
